Covid 19 Vaccination Policy
FOR OUR STAFF

The Victorian Government Roadmap requires all staff working in a healthcare setting who have face-to-face contact with patients or clients to be fully vaccination against Covid-19 and Influenza.  

At Clear Ears all our staff, including our administrative team, are vaccinated in line with this policy.

FOR OUR CLIENTS

Clear Ears will no longer be requesting clients' vaccination status from the 1st of June 2022.

The wearing of a mask is now optional in healthcare settings for everyone age 8 years or above.

Clear Ears has placed HEPA filters (high-efficiency particulate air filters) in all our treatment rooms to reduce the rsik of our clients and staff.

Mask Exemptions

If you have a mask exemption, please advise our team when you complete you Covid-19 screening questionnaire. This enables us to facilitate your service with reduced contact to other clients and staff and help us to keep you safe.

If you have communication issues and need to remove your mask for this reason, please leave your mask in place whilst in waiting room and other communal areas.

Children under 8

Children under 8 will need to have had a Covid-19 screening questionnaire completed on their behalf by a parent or guardian. Masks are optional. Children displaying any cold symptoms on arrival may need to have their appointment rescheduled. 

Children under 2 do not need to wear masks.

Covid-19 Screening

Prior to your appointment Clear Ears will provide you with a Covid-a19 screening questionnaire. For clients under 16 years or who require a support person or guardian may have their questionnaire completed by theris guardian, parent or support person. This person will also need to answer for themselves as well.

Your appointment may need to be rescheduled if:

  • You have cold or flu-like  symptoms in the last 7 days

  • Have tested positive for Covid-19 on either a RAT or PCR test in the last 7 days

  • Are a recent close contact as defined by the State Government

  • Have returned from overseas in the last 7 days (interstate travel restrictions no longer apply)

OTHER MEASURES

Clear Ears has provided all our staff with Personal Protective Equipment and have installed Air Filters with hospital grade HEPA filters in all our treatment rooms. Chairs and surfaces are wiped down in between each client.

RIGHT TO REFUSE TREATMENT

Clear Ears respects your right to make a personal choice regarding your health decisions. In return, we request that our clients respect our rights to take the actions considered necessary to protect both our staff and other clients. Our staff are empowered to make a decision to not provide treatment if the conditions of treatment are not met or if, on the day of treatment, you have symptoms suggestive of active Covid-19 infection.
