Covid 19 Vaccination Policy

The Victorian Government Roadmap requires all staff working in a healthcare setting who have face-to-face contact with patients or clients to be fully vaccination against Covid-19.

At Clear Ears all our staff, including our administrative team, are doubled-vaccinated.

It is a condition of treatment delivery that all our clients 16 years and over are single or doubled vaccinated as from the 1st of November 2021 and doubled vaccinated from the 30th of November 2021. If booking online, you will be requested to confirm your vaccination status prior to completing your booking. All clients will need to produce either an electronic or printed certificate on the day  of treatment. Clear Ears uses the Victorian Health Department check-in QRcode. Your vaccine certificate can be linked to your Service Victoria App or Medicare App on your mobile phone.

Teens 12 to Under 16

For Teenagers aged 12 to under 16 who are not vaccinated, it a condition of treatment delivery that a mask be worn at all times and have completed a Covid-19 screening questionnaire.

Children under 12

Children under 12 will need to have had a Covid-19 screening questionnaire completed on their behalf by a parent or guardian. Ideally, a mask should be worn but this is optional. Children displaying any cold symptoms on arrival may need to have their appointment rescheduled.

Clients who are not vaccinated

If you have a Vaccine Exemption Certificate or have chosen to not be vaccinated, Clear Ears cannot provide you with a service. We recommend obtaining a referral from your G.P. to see an ENT Specialist for your ear management. Various  ENT specialists may also have conditions attached to receiving treatment. Please check when booking.

Clear Ears has provided all our staff with Personal Protective Equipment and have installed Air Filters with hospital grade HEPA filters in all our treatment rooms. Chairs and surfaces are wiped down in between each client.

Clear Ears respects your right to make a personal choice regarding Covid-19 vaccination. In return, we request that our clients respect our rights to take the actions considered necessary to protect both our staff and other clients. Our staff are empowered to make a decision to not provide treatment if the conditions of treatment are not met, if on the day of treatment you have symptoms suggestive of active Covid-19 infection or if there has been a misrepresentation of your vaccination status.
